Parmesan Crusted Chicken
Serves 4
Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup breadcrumbs (gluten-free for a gluten-free option)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 egg, beaten
Instructions:
1. Preheat an air fryer to 200°C.
2. In a shallow bowl, combine Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
3. Brush each chicken breast with olive oil, then dip into the beaten egg.
4. Dredge the chicken breasts in the Parmesan mixture, pressing to coat evenly. Place the coated chicken breasts in the air fryer basket, ensuring they do not touch.
5. Cook for 10 minutes, flip the chicken, and cook for an additional 10 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 74°C and is golden brown.
6. Let the cooked chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.
