Homemade Sweet Chilli Sauce

Ingredients:

10 finely chopped red chilli
6 cloves peeled garlic
100ml white wine vinegar
2 tablespoons corn flour
4 pinches salt
400ml water
200g crushed sugar

Instructions:

1. Combine the red chillies, garlic, vinegar, salt and water in a blender. Blend until smooth.

2. Optionally, add red chilli flakes in the blender to increase the heat and spice level of the sweet chilli sauce and blend through.

3. Heat a pan over medium heat. Transfer the blended mixture to the pan and stir well. Simmer until the sauce starts to boil, then add crushed sugar, followed by corn flour.

4. Stir well until it starts to thicken. Remove the pan from heat and allow it to cool.

5. Transfer to a clean, sterilized jar and use as needed.
