Homemade BBQ Sauce Recipe

 

 

Ingredients:

1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon smoked paprika ️
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper ️
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat) ️
Salt to taste

Instructions:

1. In a medium saucepan, whisk together ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using).

2. Place saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a simmer, stirring frequently.

3. Reduce the heat to low and let the BBQ sauce simmer for 15-20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

4. Taste and adjust seasoning according to your preference. Add salt if needed.

5. Allow the BBQ sauce to cool before transferring it to a jar or bottle for storage. Use the homemade BBQ sauce immediately or refrigerate it for later use.

It can be stored in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
