Zoladex Implants
There are 2 types; a 3.6mg Implant that is given every 28 days or 10.8mg which is injected every 12-13 weeks. Your doctor will decide which one is appropriate for your treatment plan. This implant will be injected under the skin on your stomach by a nurse or doctor. It is important that you keep having your Zoladex Treatment on time, even if you are feeling unwell. Keep having this treatment until your doctor tells you it is time for you to stop.


Potential Side Effects
Hot flashes, dizziness, headaches, increased sweating, decreased interest/ability, trouble sleeping, nausea, these may occur. Pain, bruising or bleeding, redness or swelling at injection site may also occur. If you have anything you are concerned about please contact your doctor or nurse to discuss.


Does The Injection Hurt?
You usually have the injection under the skin, into the stomach. You may experience stinging, it is advised to use Emla cream one hour prior to your appointment and we can also use cold spray just prior to the injection to help with any pain.
